Sergeant Chantal Larocque serves with the Anishinabek Police Service (APS), leading recruitment, media, and community engagement. She is dedicated to building strong connections between Indigenous and non-Indigenous police services and creating innovative outreach programs that highlight cultural awareness and representation.
From major events like the Little Native Hockey League tournament to powwows and job fairs, Sgt. Larocque ensures APS has a strong presence in the communities it serves. Her work focuses on mentorship, cultural understanding, and inspiring the next generation of officers.
Superintendent Jamie Dunlop - Serious and Organized Crime at Ottawa Police service, prior to this, he held several leading positions within the organization such as Executive Officer and Acting Deputy Chief. Prior to joining the Ottawa Police in 1996, Jamie was a Youth Crisis Councilor in Northern Ontario where he was born and provided support to youth that faced a myriad of social issues and various types of trauma, including intergenerational trauma.
The 2 evening forum will start with a virtual information session on the 4th of November 2025, then continue on the 5th of November 2025 where we will host our keynote speakers & panelists from our community.
Understand the Application Process for the Anishinabek Police Service, Anishnaabe Police Service & the Ottawa Police Service, inspiration from our keynote speakers & panelists, make connections with members of the recruitment team from the attending police services and an opportunity for a Q & A.
You don't have to participate in both nights but to get the full benefits of the forum it is recommended!
Of course, the event will have appetizers to enjoy and free swag!

November 4th: Online Information Session via Zoom link from 7pm - 9pm
November 5th: In-Person at the Nepean Sportsplex - Hall A (East side of building) from 7PM to 9PM
